My first Pinterest Giveaway
Morning Lovely Ladies ( & the odd Gent),
Hope we are all good, although must say that I am so over this constant rain that we seem to be having lately in the UK. My Mum informs me that it's the wettest January in over 250 years, now my Mum has been known to somewhat extend the truth whilst telling me these snippets of information, but seems like she might be right on this occasion! The only good thing about the rain is the perfect reason to treat myself to these beauties from Joules, they should be arriving today some time, hopefully before the school run, when it seems paramount that the heavens open just that little bit more!
Now I could happily go on (and on) about the perils of the daily school run -horrendous lake sized puddle potholes, lack of parking, queueing to get out of the school car park whilst unashamedly avoiding all the other mum's eye contact so that they won't let you out, if you catch their eye, they think they have to let you go first, and well that would set them back a whole car length!!!, crunching car underneath's (i'm sure it has an actual name) whilst driving too fast over said potholes, crying, whining children, shouting, trying to keep patience parents.... (sorry said I could go on!), but at least my feet will look pretty- shame about the rest of me!! I'm not exactly a glamorous school mum!

Before getting somewhat carried away with my woes of school runs, i'm actually writing this blog to let you all know a little about my most recent giveaway.

For those of you that already use and are fans of pinterest, great, for those that haven't a clue what it does, then i'll try and explain a little.
In all honestly it took a little while for me to get my head around pinterest.

- Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo-sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, and hobbies. Users can browse other pinboards for images, "re-pin" images to their own pinboards, or "like" photos. ...
The official definition is just above, so it's an online pinboard or scrapbook, to keep all your favourite ideas, images, inspirations etc.
As some of you know i'm a great advocate and believer of social media and am currently studying at University Of South Wales ' foundation of social media'. I don't proclaim to be an expert, but enjoy learning about the various social media platforms and there benefits.
So I had had a Pinterest account for some time but recently decided to put a little more effort into it. So I have created a few more boards of products from my website and started to try and gain a few more followers.
As a little experiment I also wanted to try my first Pinterest giveaway. Being the week of love I decided that it would be Valentines based. So yesterday I launched my first Pinterest Giveaway for a gorgeous 'Love you to the moon & back' framed print by East Of India
I put some planning into this and decided that it would be a 'pin it to win it' campaign. So I have created a landing page on my website for the giveaway and basically you need to
"Pin it to win it"
-Create a board on pinterest called ihearthomes-Pin your 10 most favourite items to your board ( you can actually pin as many as you want, the more the merrier but at least 10)-The winner will be picked randomly on Friday 14th Feb- Valentines Day!-The winner will win this gorgeous 'Love you to the moon & back' large framed print, by East Of India.

I have some great feedback and am looking forward to seeing how this kind of giveaway fairs in comparison to my usual Facebook Giveaways.
Talking of Facebook, what a shame they have decided to massively lower the amount of fans that are shown posts from their favourite pages. No longer does it mean that if you 'like' a page, they'll appear in your newsfeed. I have over 12k likers, but post rarely reach more than 500 (unless of cause you pay for each post!). But again I digress.......
